Getting a good answer from AI is easy through chat. Making it dependable and consistent across your business is the hard part. That is what we build: the knowledge harness that makes AI dependable within your business. When AI is reliable, it drives real business value, improving efficiency, reducing operational risk, and giving you an advantage your competitors cannot easily copy.
Most companies trying to use AI do the same thing. Someone opens a chat, gets a good answer, and thinks the hard part is over. Then they try to use that answer, and it fails. The model gives a different result next time. No one knows why the last answer was better. The work does not last.
That is the gap Skills and Agents Co exists to close. We do not sell you a model; we build what makes AI reliable within your business. We call it a knowledge harness.
What a harness is
Software engineers solved a similar problem with the software harness. When code is written, it goes through linters, type checkers, test suites, and CI gates. This creates checks that make the code more reliable over time.
A knowledge harness is the same kind of checks applied to your business, rather than to code. AI results can change each time. The same question can get different answers, and a wrong answer can look just as good as a right one. There is no tool to catch a bad decision or a made-up fact. So we built one: checks, logs, and review steps.
Our harness system is the set of documents, agents, and feedback loops we build around the model to make sure the output is correct, matches your brand, and can be repeated. It does not eliminate unpredictability, but it limits its impact so you can manage it within your company.
The three layers
The brain
Before any agent can do useful work, it needs to understand how your business really works. Not the org chart, but the real details: what your customers want, how you make decisions, what “good” sounds like in your style, and what the rules are. We turn that into organized documents that an AI can read. Most people skip this part, but it is the most important. Once it exists, everything that follows improves, and the effect builds. Every problem you solve makes the next one easier.
The agents
With the brain in place, we provide skills and agents that do your company’s tasks on a schedule. Think of them like a new employee who is able but still learning. They need a job description, a style guide, and a manager to check their work. Each agent gets a written plan that explains its purpose and what “done” means. Some create drafts and pass them to a human. Some are trusted to work on their own.
The harness
We then set up a harness and run regular checks to rate the output using a set of standards. Run logs record what each agent decided and why. Gates catch clear failures before anything is sent out. When something changes unexpectedly, you notice it early, while it is still easy to fix, rather than hearing about it from a customer.
You can buy a model from anyone or copy a prompt off the internet. However, neither of those is a business advantage, because your competitors can do the same thing in an afternoon.
The advantage is the harness. It is specific to your company, it captures judgment that lives nowhere else, and it gets more valuable every time you use it. The brain that knows how your business works, wrapped in agents that do the work and feedback that keeps them honest, is not just AI.
The work
We do this work with you, inside your company, on your actual problems. We start by building the brain, then we stand up the first skills and agents for jobs where value can be driven and risk is contained. Then we install the feedback loops so the whole thing keeps improving after we are gone.
The goal is a harness you own that makes your team faster every day and turns judgment into something the business can run at scale.
If that is where you are trying to go, this is the work we do.
The harness idea started as the system we built to run one of our own publications. For the full technical version, including the actual documents and agents, read How the Uristocrat.com harness is set up and why.
